Angel Biscuits with Herbs

Angel Biscuits with Herbs (the ones Ojii-chan made)

¼ ounce envelope of dry yeast (3/4 Tablespoon yeast)
2 tablespoon warm water
¾ cup buttermilk (at room temperature)
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon tarragon
1 tablespoon rosemary
1 tablespoon parsley
2 ½ cups flour
2 tablespoon sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup margarine

Dissolve yeast and water. Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Mix buttermilk and herbs in with the yeast. Cut margarine into 8ths and cut the 8 cubes into the dry ingredients. Add yeast mixture to the butter and dry ingredients; mix until moistened. Kneed for about 5 minutes. Roll out to ¾ of an inch thick with a rolling pin over a lightly floured surface. Cut dough into circled shapes with a floured cup or biscuit cutter. Let rise for 30 minutes and bake in a preheated oven at 400F for 12 minutes. Makes 18 biscuits.
