Best Briscoe Bread
Time: 2hr. 15 min.
Dissolve 2 tablespoons yeast into 1/2 cup warm water.
In a large bowl, mix:
2 C. hot water
3 TBS. sugar
1 TBS. salt
5 TBS. oil
3 C. unsifted flour
Stir together with wooden spoon. Add yeast mixture. Stir in additional 3 cups unsifted flour.
(DO NOT KNEAD THE BREAD)
Let dough rise for 10 minutes, stir with spoon. Let rise additional 10 minutes and stir with spoon until dough lets down. Repeat process for a total of 5 rising patterns, stirring every 10 minutes.
Divide dough into two loaves and place into greased loaf pans. Let rise for half an hour and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
